Welcome to Freshwater Cove, also known traditionally as Wiggingarra Butt Butt. Freshwater Cove is a hidden jewel on the west Kimberley coast, a majestic setting that is still unspoilt, where every day brings new surprises and wonderful scenery. Where the tidal movement is the largest in the southern hemisphere and the nearest road is well over 200 km away (and then only a track). .

It is a unique area and without question the remotest coastal camp on the Australian coast. Freshwater Cove is a safari style coastal camp nestled amongst the foreshore flora; totally surrounded by a natural world that has not changed since time began.

In 1995 Freshwater Cove was set up as a dedicated wilderness sports fishing safari camp. Since then a lucky few have experienced the awesome fishing in truly remote locations. Nearly all who visit leave with one comment: "Don't tell anyone else about this magic place".

Well, the secret is out.

Not only is the Cove a fisherman's paradise, it is a true wilderness and cultural experience. In today's world the Cove is precious.
