Welcome to Freshwater Cove
Also known traditionally as Wiggingarra Butt Butt, Freshwater Cove is a hidden jewel on the west Kimberley coast, a majestic setting that is still unspoilt, where every day brings new surprises and wonderful scenery.
At Freshwater Cove, the tidal movement is the largest in the southern hemisphere and the nearest road is well over 200 km away (and then only a track).
A remote escape
Freshwater Cove is situated in a unique locality and is without question the most remote coastal camp on the Australian coast.
We offer safari style accommodation nestled among foreshore flora; totally surrounded by a natural world that has not changed since time began.
You’ll be in great hands at the Cove
The guides who work at Freshwater Cove are local Kimberley people that have as much enthusiasm for sharing the magic, magnificence and adventure to found in the region as the site Manager, Peter Tucker.
